Sokyo enters a new era

Famous for its creative take on modern Japanese cuisine, Sokyo has entered a new era. We’re talking a new menu, a sensational new brunch experience, and even a new look. Leaving lockdowns behind, Sokyo is celebrating the best of both traditional Japan and modern Sydney. Trained and guided by Executive Chef Chase Kojima, Sokyo’s new look has been designed with a post-pandemic Sydney in mind, great precision and creativity ensuring the menu, space and service provide Sydneysiders with an unforgettable dining experience.

Historically dark and moody, the new Sokyo space is softer, more spacious, with intimate lighting and a focus on highlighting the kitchen. The designers have also collaborated with local calligraphy artist Tomoko Oka to design a modern take on traditional Japanese art that graces the walls, menus and tablescapes, reflecting the artistry and ritual spirit.
