Vesper reopens

I was hoping to add another place to that list. Toorak Road’s Aegean gem, Vesper Bistro & Bar, is hosting a three-day grand reopening, from Friday 5th November to Sunday 7th November.

To celebrate their long-awaited return, Vesper will present their new spring/summer dishes in an 8-course Vesperience tasting menu. The selection has been specially curated to capture the essence of the Mediterranean islands by former head chef of Vue de Monde and Per Se, Francesco Castellana.

Vesper essentials like Cod Brandade, Oyster Mayonnaise, and Savory Churros and Hiramasa Raw Kingfish with Spicy Citrus Salad remain, but expect exciting additions like Corsican-style slow-cooked beef, pancetta, peppers and olives, and Burrata. , pumpkin and Panzanella smoked sourdough . Of course, bubbles will be provided!

The Clock reopens with a French-inspired bistro menu

The Clock has officially reopened with a French-inspired menu combining bistro classics with a Surry Hills twist.

Dishes can be shared or savored alone and include steak tartare, baked escargot with toasted baguette and garlic butter, truffle cheese fries, twice-baked GruyeĚre cheese soufflé, tuna niçoise salad, Moules Frites (mussels with white wine and leek sauce) and, of course, Café de Paris Butter Fried Steak and French Fries.

Highlights of the new drinks list are carafes of Vin de Rouge, Blanc, Rose and Naturel et Orange, including sustainable and biodynamic organic options.

Quarterdeck: Narooma Waterfront Institution Now Open

Merivale has officially opened the doors to its third location on the south coast of New South Wales, Alcazar a 20 year old local institution reincarnated, traditional tiki vibes with a modern twist.

Located on Narooma’s Wagonga Inlet, Quarterdeck champions South Shore produce alongside reinvented cocktails, in one of Australia’s most beautiful settings. Jenn Black and the Merivale team are delivering top-notch, friendly service at the much-loved local favorite.

Chef Tal Buchnik’s menu offers delicious coastal gems including; Wagonga rock oysters, snapper ceviche, grilled citrus pork belly tacos and a QD sundae, served simply, with local produce as the star.

The drinks menu is just as spectacular. Behind the bar, Víctor Costa serves a thirst-quenching menu focused on a selection of traditional dishes crowd-pleasing cocktails, delivered theatrically. Signature must-haves include a banana daiquiri, pina colada, and the infamous zombie, which combines the fresh flavors of Bacardi, apricot brandy and pineapple, along with a generous selection of wines by the glass.
