Music festivals have been in the doldrums for the past few years, but fast food icon KFC is bringing them back, enlisting party legends Peking Duk as emcee. In a cheeky collaboration packed with feel-good vibes, KFC and Peking Duk have not only unveiled a one-of-a-kind burger creation, but also announced a blockbuster event to kick it off. Forget Tomorrowland, get ready for KFC Feastival.

For Australian legends Peking Duk, the collaboration sees the group’s namesake between two buns for the first time. The Peking Cluk Burger was created in collaboration with Kentucky Fried Cookin’ alumnus Dimsimlim and ARIA Award winners, bringing the savory flavors to life. Inside, you’ll find KFC Original Recipe Chicken Tenders, a Cucumber and Spring Onion Salad, and a Hoisin Glazed Sauce, delivering a double whammy to the taste buds. But they won’t be easy to get.
Indeed, getting your hands on the new collaboration will take some careful planning and a dedication to the party lifestyle. KFC has confirmed that the Peking Cluk burger will only be available at KFC’s Feastival on Cockatoo Island on Sunday March 13. Those lucky enough to snag a ticket will get free burgers all day, but once the event is over, Peking Cluk will disappear from the menu.

“We are thrilled to partner with KFC to combine two of our favorite things; good tunes and good food,” said Peking Duk. “As lovers of fried gold, working with KFC to create our own burger is truly a dream, plus we can’t wait to play our music while you eat the burger – the perfect score for the perfect meal on Cockatoo Island.”
The festival itself will be a tasty endeavor in its own right. Partylords Peking Duk will headline KFC’s Feastival on Cockatoo Island, bringing their energetic live show to the stage after a few years of industry turmoil. They are joined by Yolngu, a rapper and dancer, Baker Boy, fresh off the release of his latest album Gela, and powerhouse vocalist Thandi Phoenix. Best of all, proceeds from ticket sales will support the mental well-being of young Australians through the KFC Youth Foundation and its charitable partners: The Black Dog Institute, ReachOut Australia and Whitelion.

“KFC’s commitment to the music industry has never been more important, given the pressure the industry has faced in recent years,” said Kristi Woolrych, CMO of KFC Australia. “We are proud and excited to be able to partner with such incredible talent not only on an incredible concert, but also to cement our musical relationship with the launch of Australia’s first artist collaboration product.”
If you want to be the first (and only) to get your hands on the new Peking Cluk burger, you’ll need to get a ticket to the KFC Feastival. Tickets are priced at $50 and are available now. See the full day’s festivities through the following link.
