Cult fast food phenomenon Five Guys will open its first Australian store on September 20, 2021, bringing the iconic brand of burgers and fries. The Five Guys launch in Australia will kick off in the outer regions of Sydney, with the lucky suburb of Penrith occupying the inaugural launch store. Get ready, the burger business just got a little more interesting.

Located at 123 Mulgoa Road in Penrith, the new Five Guys Australia store is set to offer the same favorite products that fans around the world love. In addition to offering 250,000 different burger variations, Five Guys also offers free toppings for burger lovers to customize their meal, making it a proverbial fast food adventure to choose from. While burgers headline the new menu, you can also expect to see hot dogs, fries (both Five Guys and Cajun style), traditional sandwiches, beers, and over 100 different shake combinations.
Needless to say, the Australian edition has been a long time coming. After taking America by storm in the early 2000s, the family-owned company took the model abroad, launching massive chains in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. A haphazard report from last year indicated that the brand was working its way Down Under and now the grills are finally heating up. According to Robby Andronikos, brand manager for Five Guys Australia, further expansion is on the way.

“It’s been an incredibly fun journey getting the Five Guys opening to this point. A great team effort from FIVE GUYS, Seagrass BHG and the many Australian growers and companies working in partnership to launch this brand to the exacting standards required,” said Robby Andronikos, FIVE GUYS Australia Brand Manager. “I’m excited to finally be able to open the doors of our first store in Penrith with many more FIVE GUYS Australian restaurants on the horizon already planned.”
The Penrith Five Guys store opens on September 20 and operates from 11am to 10pm daily. You can check the website and menu through the following link.
